about

"In the album opener Esu (Exú in Portuguese) Timoteo's Afro Brazilian drum, the zabumba, drives the trip like a religious ceremony and Jabu's repetitive vocals represent the chanting of Yoruba culture and the orixás."Esu is the orisha of communication, the messenger who opens the way. This song intertwines the sweetness of the song that comes from the soul with the communication power of the drums. A prayer in Yoruba, called oriki, full of symbolism, offers an invitation to the mystical universe that permeates the creative process of the band.
